Maki Kawakita

Maki Kawakita is an internationally recognized photographer and creative professional with more than 20 years of experience across advertising, fashion, editorial, and celebrity portraiture. Born in Tokyo, she established her career in New York City and has worked across Los Angeles, New York, Japan, and international markets.

Known for her bold use of color, dynamic compositions, and ability to capture personality, movement, and energy, Kawakita creates imagery that is expressive, memorable, and grounded in strong visual storytelling. Her assignments include Hysteric Glamour, BNP Paribas, Smirnoff, Levi Strauss & Co., Coors Light, Universal Records, Virgin Records, and Warner Music.
